Blowin’ in the Wind ist der Titel eines der bekanntesten Folksongs. Der Text wurde von Bob Dylan im April 1962 in einer New Yorker Folk-Kneipe geschrieben. Die Melodie stammte von einem alten traditionellen Gospel mit dem Titel No more auction block.
Das pazifistische Lied hat drei Strophen. Es werden Fragen gestellt, die jedes mal mit der gleichen letzten Textzeile beantwortet werden: Die Antwort, mein Freund, liegt in der Luft (sie ist offensichtlich). Die klassische deutsche Fassung: Die Antwort ... kennt ganz allein der Wind ist missverständlich, da sie den Sinn der idiomatischen Redewendung blowing in the wind nur ungenau erfasst. Quelle: WIKI
